Desperado was one of the first members of the AT community I met. In 
1999, He-Dino and I were up in that area and decided to go check out the 
AT because we wanted to thru-hike it when we retired. Desperado was out 
doing trail magic and talked with us at length about the area.  Such a 
nice fellow.
